• Minimum A graduate of any Bachelor’s/ College Degree, Engineering (Or) Equivalent.
• Have Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH)/Construction Safety and Health (COSH) training.
• Licensed Engineer, OHS Practitioner, Pollution Control Officer, Fire Safety Practitioner, Radiation Safety/ Protection Officer, Red Cross/Crescent First Aid and Basic Life Support (FA- BLS) Training and experienced.
• Minimum: With one (1) year experience as Environment, Health & Safety Officer with training in Basic Occupational Safety Health and Safety (BOSH)/ Construction Safety and Health (COSH).
• With five (5) or more years of experience on Environment, Health & Safety; Two (2) years of which in a supervisory capacity and gained from a Food and Beverage Manufacturing/ Production operations or equivalent.
• Provide consultative expertise on environmental protection, occupational health, and safety; and exercises supervision on EHS concerns of plant.
• Act as the plant manager’s principal assistant and consultant in the application of programs to remove the hazards from the workplace and to correct unsafe work practices.
• Serve as Secretary to the Plant EHS Committee/Working Team.
• Conduct investigation of accidents as member of the Plant EHS Committee/Working Team and sumit his/her report to the Plant Manager for review prior to release to Corporate EHSSD.
• Conduct/organize EHS seminar, training, orientation, and refresher courses in coordination with the Manufacturing Technical Training Department and Human Resources Department.
• Conduct EHS inspection, audits, accident investigation or other related programs.
• Help in the maintenance of an efficient accident record system. Recommends and coordinates actions taken by area supervisors to eliminate causes.
• Update safety policies to compliment with the manufacturing systems e.g. Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices, Food Safety, Food Defense, etc.
• Provide essential elements of information (EEIs) for purposes of collecting, analyzing, collating, evaluating and disseminating information related to environment, health, and safety situation in the plant.
• Provide assistance to government agencies in the conduct of EHS inspection, accident investigation or other related programs. Serve as representative of the company to the government agencies for the requirement and updates pertaining to EHS.
• Apprise the EHS Corporate Head/ PM/ GM on the EHS situation in the plant at all times.
• Supervise Waste Water Treatment operation, availability of materials/chemicals and equipment repair and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the system.
• Daily reporting of the WWTP conditions, trends and ensure that the processed waste water (Effluent) coming out of the system complied with the regulatory requirement.
• Act as the liaison officer for any of regulatory requirements related to Environmental, Health and Safety compliance.
• Perform such other related functions and those that the Corporate EHSSD Manager or higher authorities may assign from time to time to support company and team objectives.
